10 year member of the Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H Club; 12 year leader of the Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H Club

Karen McKinney has provided selfless devotion to the White County 4-H program from her days as a member to today as she completes 12 years as a 4-H leader of the same club her mother led. As a teenager, Karen could be found at her mother's side, teaching youngsters about cooking and leadership. Her project work and leadership earned her the title of 4-H Corn Queen in 1976. She was an Illinois 4-H State Achievement winner and 4-H Congress Delegate. Now as a leader, she gives back to the program which taught her. She initiated the White County After Hours After School 4-H program which last year added 150 members to the county 4-H roster. Last year the Enfield Blue Ribbon club held 15 different community service projects. Karen always has time for each and every child in her care.
