34 year leader of the Saddle Teens 4-H Club
Joyce Smith has been a leader with the Saddle Teens 4-H Club for 34 years. Joyce values the 4-H program because you can work with kids and it keeps you young at heart. Joyce still learns something new through 4-H every year. One of things about 4-H she values most is the ability to make a difference in a child's life. It makes it all worth it said Joyce. Joyce enjoys watching the kids grow and mature in project areas over the years. She sees kids develop more confidence through their enrollment in 4-H. Joyce is a very active person. She volunteers to help with the Mercer County 4-H Horse Show, New Windsor Youth Horse Show, window displays and horse bowl. Joyce is also involved in a book discussion group, administration council at the Methodist Church, Communion Steward, and Mercer County Home Extension.
