11 year member of 4-H of Crawford County; Leader of Annapolis Pathfinders of Crawford County

Karen has been involved with 4-H since she was 8 years old, beginning as a 4-H'er, then a Jr. Leader, a 4-H Leader, to an adult who serves on many 4-H and Extension Committees, Boards, and Councils. She volunteers without hesitation to make sure any 4-H event is a success. She is there when a 4-H activity begins and is there until it ends. During Fair Week she serves as Fair Superintendent and is one of the main "cogs" which makes the week go smoothly. As one of the founding members of the 4-H and Extension Foundation, she continues to serve as a board member. Not only is Karen on the Foundation Board, she is President of the All Council, Fair Superintendent, Chairman of the Youth Committee, is the Crawford County PQA trainer, director of the annual 4-H County Camp, as well as being a member of various other 4-H related committees. When attending college, her love of 4-H continued. She participated in the Germany 4-H Exchange program as well as the Virginia Exchange program. Then, now, and forever describes 4-H in the life of Karen Maddox.
