Assisted in organization of Kane Busy Beavers of Green County; 4 year leader of Kane Busy Beavers of Greene County
John is a long-time supporter of 4-H in Greene County. He served for many years on the 4-H Livestock Committee and helped conduct various activities including the livestock shows, premiere contests, auction, and others. He continues to participate in the auction and sponsor trophies and special awards. He helped organize the Greene County 4-H and Extension Foundation in 1993. He is a past Director, past Secretary-Treasurer, and a member for 12 consecutive years. In 1994, he served as Chairman of the successful 4-H and Extension Referendum Campaign. He recruited volunteers, organized the speakers’ bureau, organized volunteers to canvass voters, and more.
