10 year member of Prairie City Livewires of McDonough County; 35 year leader of Prairie City Livewires of McDonough County
Jim has been a wonderful supporter of 4-H for many years. Beginning as a 4-H member at age 10 and continuing as a leader by official 4-H records for 35 years, but we know the unofficial record would be much longer. Jim served as a leader and fair superintendent. Jim mentored countless McGrew family 4-H members as well as numerous others throughout the county. His family members continue to be part of 4-H from Extension employees to leader to fair superintendents to members. Jim was the horse superintendent for many years. Jim still makes the rounds at the fair with a broad smile and a story to tell. His on-going support of 4-H lives within his heart.
