10 year member of Saybrook Willing Workers & Saybrook Cook 'n Stitch of McLean County; 25 year leader of Crescent City Barnbangers of Iroquois County

4-H has been a major influence in Jean's life both as a child and as an adult. She was a 10-year member of 4-H in McLean County focusing on poultry, beef, livestock judging, foods, clothing, flower arranging, and gardening. She was also a club officer, Jr. leader, County Federation member, as well as a participant at summer camp. Jean, her late husband Wayne and their sons have been active supporters of 4-H as parents, leaders, and poultry superintendents. They are willing to assist young people and their families with any questions they may have about topics from enrollment, ordering chicks, care of their animals, and preparation for fair. Jean has been our Poultry Superintendent for years and has just retired from a 25-year career as a 4-H leader. However, she still remains involved at the local level as secretary of the local 4-H Foundation committee.  In addition, Jean was appointed to the Ford-Iroquois Unit Council a year ago and enjoys volunteering at our annual Welcome to the Real World simulation each year. She is a great role model who is always so positive.
