7 year member of the County Farmers 4-H Club in DeWitt County; 16 year leader of the Clever Clovers 4-H Club in DeWitt County

His love for 4-H began at age 11 with forestry and sheep projects in a club led by his dad. Today, Terry Ferguson and his wife, Kathi, continue his father's tradition by leading a club throughout their four children's 4-H careers. Terry proudly states, "I have been involved in 4-H forever. As a little guy I remember carrying bricks to build pits for the Federation chicken barbecue. Today, I supervise cooking the chicken." Terry has and continues to dedicate countless hours building and maintaining the 4-H fairgrounds, serving on committees and councils, providing leadership as a fair or project superintendent, and passionately working as a county extension funding "cheerleader." Terry's exemplary service to 4-H and Extension is proven by the reputation he's earned with his DeWitt County peers. Others describe Terry as: "Someone who is always there," "Caring," "Committed," and "Always having fun and making it fun for others."
