Mike Hogendobler is a believer in the 4-H program. He is always ready and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that youth get a good experience from the 4-H program. He is never too busy to make time for young people. Mike's father started the Villa Ridge Ag 4-H Club in 1935. Mike was a leader of the same club and now his son is the leader. Villa Ridge Ag 4-H club has now spanned 4 generations. In the late 1980's Mike was also instrumental in getting a 4-H referendum passed not only in Pulaski County, but in Alexander county as well in order for the 4-H program to continue in these counties. Mike has served on many state and county committees and on the Illinois 4-H Foundation Board. Mike was awarded "4-H Alumni of the Year" in Pulaski County.
