23 year leader of the Infinity 4-H Club in Cook County

Jean Dean takes a leadership role in securing visual arts judges and superintendents for our County Fair each year. She acts as coordinator for the Visual Arts project area which usually has thousands of projects. Jean handles the Fair set-up for all of the project areas, and does a spectacular job. She creates the lay out, and even assists in hanging project signs setting up tables. Jean enjoys helping new leaders, and encourages leaders of her club to take part in County events. Jean has been a great supporter of changes that have taken place in the Unit. She has presented herself as a helpful, happy, enthusiastic person, who always has suggestions on how to make situations run smoothly. Jean Dean is being nominated because she deserves recognition for her contribution to 4-H in the Cook/South Suburban Area. Her club is one of the larger groups, that has been a County Blue Ribbon club for several years. Her club also received the Standards of Excellence award. Her club meets weekly and offers members a variety of experiences, including cultural field trips, community service, and camping. Jean promotes Family 4-H. Parent's host project workshops, and have a lot involvement in the club's activities.
