46 year leader of the Spring Lake Victory 4-H Club in Tazewell County
Helen DeSutter was also a Home Extension member for 20 years until the group disbanded. She has always worked to develop good young leaders through 4-H and Extension. Helen DeSutter has been active in 4-H for 46 years. She has been a leader of the Spring Lake Victory 4-H Club for the entire period and was also a 4-H Fair Superintendent for Flowers and Vegetables for the same period of time. Helen enjoys the 4-H program and has truly enjoyed working with children and encouraging them to do their best. She donates a trophy to first-year member winners because they enjoy receiving recognition and it gives them something to work for.
