61 year leader of the Pleasant Valley Busy Bees 4-H Club in Jo Daviess County
Elda Goodmiller has been involved with the Jo Daviess County 4-H program for the past 73 years. Her passion in working with 4-H members and volunteers through these years is second to none. She began her 4-H experience as a 12 year member of the Pleasant Valley Boosters 4-H Club where her parents were the club leaders. Elda was also involved for many years as a member of the Stitch and Rip 4-H Club that provided sewing and cooking project experience for her. When Elda turned 21, she took over club leadership from her parents and has been leader of the Pleasant Valley Busy Bees for the past 61 years. Over the years, Elda has served on the Extension 4-H Youth Council, helped at the 4-H Fair as General Superintendent, led many project workshops for 4-H members, organized and led the county Horticulture Judging Contest, and was a Master Gardener for many years while also teaching numerous home horticulture topics.
