4 year member of the Oswego Trojan 4-H Club in Kendall County; Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives
J. Dennis Hastert attributes his years in 4-H as giving him the basis for his political career. He supports Kendall County 4-H with financial contributions and he annually supports the 4-H Livestock Auction. He personally attends the 4-H fair show and auction when his schedule allows and provides personal encouragement to our local 4-H'ers. We are proud that Speaker Hastert calls Kendall County home. As an Oswego Trojan 4-H Club member, he showed Hampshire hogs, Angus cattle, and Shropshire sheep. He was President of his 4-H club, President of Kendall County 4-H Federation, and a Junior Leader. He is also an Illinois and National 4-H Alumni Award winner.
