How did 4-H contribute to your leadership skills today?

4-H provided me the opportunity to engage in leadership experiences as a young person. Without a doubt, these experiences helped share who I am today.

Did 4-H instill a career path for you?

Leadership positions in my club helped me understand how much I enjoyed being involved in decision making and working with others. I gained skills through 4-H that benefit me today including public speaking, leadership, collaboration, and hard work.

What advice do you have for someone who is interested in your career path?

Understand that leadership is about service to others first and foremost. Get involved in everything you can with a focus on helping those around you succeed. This attitude will ultimately result in personal satisfaction.

What advice would you give a current 4-H member?

Get involved in everything you can, and run for an office!!

Why should young people join 4-H today?

4-H is one of the few places that allow kids to try new things, learn from each other, experience leadership, and collaborate with groups. It's an outstanding opportunity that young people should take advantage of.
