How did 4-H contribute to your leadership skills today?
Public speaking through 4-H taught me to get up in front of a group and it helps me not only in my line of work, but also as a 4-H leader.
Did 4-H instill a career path for you?
Public Speaking built my confidence of standing in front of a group of people. This helped as I was a cheerleader, was in show choir, participated in Speech and Drama in high school, and now in my career as a teacher.
What advice do you have for someone interested in your career path?
Learn patience and flexibility - what you have planned for the day may go out the window at any given moment!
What advice would you give a current 4-H member?
Take projects that are of interest to you and learn as much as you can from them. Enjoy every 4-H opportunity possible - you won't regret it!
Why should young people join 4-H today?
4-H is a wonderful opportunity to try new things and meet new people. So many projects are a part of 4-H - not just animals. Check it out - you never know what talents you may discover!
