Did any of your 4-H project skills, experiences or connections help prepare you for your career path?
Absolutely! I served on the county federation board and was active in many activities at the county level that taught me how to encounter public interests and needs. My years in 4-H also lead me to pledge the U of I 4-H Co-operative Sorority House where I became a sister in '91 and made many life-long friends.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to enter your career path?
Volunteer, observe, and be active in your possible choice as much as possible before you make your career decision. Make sure you feel passionate about it. Love what you do so it doesn't feel like a job but rather an opportunity.

What did you learn through 4-H that benefits you today?
How to be a problem solver and think with my head. Also, everyone has a back story - don't be so quick to judge. Lend a helping hand when you can.

How did 4-H contribute to your leadership skills today?
Serving in many offices on the county exec board gave me many leadership opportunities. It taught me that you don't get to choose who you lead but everyone deserves a leader.

What advice would you give a current 4-H member?
Enjoy every minute. It goes fast!
