Did any of your 4-H project skills, experiences or connections help prepare you for your career path?
4-H taught me how to apply the principles of head, heart, hands and health in my life and work. 4-H provided me with a foundation for public speaking, accountability, advocacy, team building and so much more.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to enter your career path?
Early childhood is when critical brain development occurs. The opportunity to work with families and children to nurture their growth is highly rewarding.

What did you learn through 4-H that benefits you today?
4-H exposed me to many different people and perspectives. Through individual and group projects I learned how to identify and use peoples strengths to advance commonalities. I also acquired my love for fashion and animals through 4-H.

How did 4-H contribute to your leadership skills today?
4-H gave me early exposure to leadership through 4-H Congress. As a member I became a confident in public speaking, learning to value and appreciate diversity as a 4-H IFYE, persistence and persuasion, how to work with others to achieve a goal. 4-H was a family affair in our house my mother was a leader and all of my siblings were members.

What advice would you give a current 4-H member?
4-H provides a foundation where you can be your authentic self, yet stretches you just beyond your comfort zone. Join a club simply to broaden your perspective.

Do you currently volunteer or have volunteered with the 4-H program? If so, in what capacity.
I volunteer at the State Fair-Dairy Barn. I lived at 4-H house and contribute as an alum.
