2022 eSports Land of Lincoln Championship
Illinois 4-H is proud to announce that registration is now live for the 2022 eSports Land of Lincoln Championship, Sponsored by NIC/ Tyler Technologies using machines provided by HP (see Flyer).
This is a one day, in person event in the Orr building on the State Fairgrounds on August 20, 2022, and is a part of the larger Illinois Tech Prairie STEAM Expo happening during the state fair August 17th-21st.
There will be 3 events in this competition:
- A 1v1 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate competition (switch)
- 3v3 team Rocket League competition (PC)
- Fortnite 1v1 Free For All Competition (PC)
The Rocket League and Smash events will be run concurrently in the morning with the Fortnite event taking place in the afternoon. All events are open to ages up to 19, with Fortnite having a minimum entry age of 13. Participants can register for any number of events, time permitting.
Participants may bring their own controllers, but there will be basic peripherals and controllers if needed. Brackets will be published after registration closes. Paid admission is required to enter the State Fair, but the competition and Orr building are free to enter.
There will be over $4k in Prizes (non-cash) for this competition so youth should come ready to play and have fun!!!
